Host a Bonfire or Fire Ceremony.

As the summer solstice approaches, many people look for ways to honor the sun's power and the season's abundance. Hosting a bonfire or fire ritual ceremony can be a beautiful way to celebrate the energy and vitality of this time of year! Fire has always been associated with the sun's strength, and gathering around its warmth and light can be a meaningful way to celebrate the longest day of the year. Gather your favorite people around the fire and have some quality time together! Share stories, catch up, and reflect on all the good things in your life. It's the perfect way to show appreciation and strengthen relationships with your friends and family.

I love to complete a letting go ritual by writing down what I need to release on paper and tossing it into the fire. As you watch the paper burn, you can visualize those unwanted feelings and thoughts rising up in the smoke and being released from your mind and body. It's a simple trick, but it helps you let go of negativity and feel more clear-headed and

Create a Summer Solstice Litha Altar.

To fully embrace the summer solstice, consider creating a special altar! You can use items that represent the energy of the season, such as flowers, herbs, crystals, and candles. You can also include symbols of the sun, such as a sunburst or a representation of the sun god or goddess from your spiritual tradition. Spend some time meditating at your altar to set your intentions and think about what you want to achieve this season. Your altar can also serve as a focal point for any ceremonies or rituals you want to do to mark the solstice.

To purify your altar, consider smudging it with sage. If you need sage bundles, you can find them in my shop by clicking here. I offer different types of smudge sticks for cleansing your altar or to sage cleanse your home. I made them myself, so you can feel good about using these spiritual tools that are Native American-made!
